Fired Employee Threatens To Shoot Former Department Store Co-Worker, Police Say

A 29-year-old man was arrested for refusing to leave a department store after he was fired and then threatening an employee, by telling him that he "would get shot," according to police.

Dustin Redd of Hamden was charged Monday with breach of peace, threatening and criminal trespass after Milford Police officers responded to Boscov’s at 1201 Boston Post Road for a report of an “unwanted person,” police said. 

Once on scene, officers found that Redd refused to leave the building after being fired and told he must leave, Milford Police said. 

He also allegedly told another employee that he would "get shot," police reported.

Redd was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 23.
